Built-in AI assistant
The built-in assistant lets you work with txcast without configuring an external agent. Open it with the bot button while viewing an organisation. Chats belong to you and are not visible to other organisation members or admins.
The assistant can use the same durable command catalogue as Agent API and MCP v2. It can inspect and manage authorised workflows, runs, controlled accounts, address-book entries, contracts, and audit events. It cannot sign or broadcast transactions, operate your wallet, or answer a human workflow step. Complete those actions in the normal txcast screens.
Choose an access mode
Section titled “Choose an access mode”New chats use Ask for approval.
- Ask for approval creates a review card for every change. Nothing changes until you approve it.
- Approve for me can apply ordinary changes, such as starting a run, but still asks before destructive actions.
- Full access can apply every action exposed to the chat without asking. txcast shows a warning before enabling it.
Access mode never expands your role or permissions. txcast still validates the organisation, schema, ownership, feature availability, and current resource version for each action. An expired or stale proposal is rejected rather than applied.
You can type immediately when no chat exists. Sending the first message creates the chat with the selected access mode. The configured assistant model generates a short title from that message; if title generation is unavailable, txcast uses a bounded version of the original message instead.
Long chats
Section titled “Long chats”txcast keeps every saved turn until you delete the chat. For long chats, it automatically maintains a concise summary of older turns and sends that summary with the eight newest turns to the assistant. The summary is conversational memory only: txcast still reads current application state and revalidates every action before relying on it.
Compaction uses the configured assistant model at minimal reasoning and counts towards the organisation’s AI allowance. If compaction is temporarily unavailable, the current request continues with the newest saved turns and the previous summary remains unchanged.
Review outcomes
Section titled “Review outcomes”Action cards show the exact command and arguments. An unknown action means the response was interrupted after execution may have started. The assistant will not repeat it automatically; inspect the affected resource before trying again.
Each organisation has a monthly AI allowance. The Billing page shows only the percentage used and the UTC reset date. When the allowance is exhausted, new model requests stop until the reset or an entitlement change.
Platform administrators can grant a standard organisation a higher, finite monthly allowance in US dollars. The highest active allowance from the plan and its grants is the organisation’s total allowance for each UTC calendar month; grants are not credit top-ups. Unlimited access grants do not change AI usage limits.
You can rename or delete a chat at any time. Deleting a chat removes its saved messages and actions, but does not undo completed changes or remove usage that has already been accounted.
