Manual checkpoints and verified external completion
These are separate escape hatches with different evidence requirements.
Complete a manual checkpoint
Section titled “Complete a manual checkpoint”- Open a ready manual node.
- Read the checkpoint title and description.
- Independently verify the stated offchain prerequisite.
- Select Complete checkpoint and confirm.
Only an explicit manual node can be completed this way. The action is audited and unblocks only its graph dependents. It cannot manually pass a chain condition.
Record external completion
Section titled “Record external completion”Use external completion when the required transaction happened outside txcast but can be proven onchain.
- Open the transaction step.
- Enter the transaction hash and a non-secret note.
- Confirm the chain and expected execution account.
- Submit for verification.
txcast verifies the transaction against the frozen required calldata, destination, value, and account before marking the step executed. A Safe completion additionally requires the matching Safe execution event.
Failed verification
Section titled “Failed verification”Check the chain, transaction hash, sender/Safe, receipt status, and confirmation depth. If the transaction was different, leave the run incomplete or cancel it; do not try to force a match.
